Combating the Threat of Lock Bumping.

Just about anyone can bump-open a lock anytime, anywhere. It’s a growing problem with bump keys and tools as well as demonstration videos readily available on the internet. Also, bumping does not visibly damage the lock nor does it leave evidence of force entry… Bumping represents the threat of an undetected break-in. One that can jeopardize the security of government facilities and the people and property contained within.

To counter this method of attack, Master Lock Company developed patent pending BumpStop Advanced Cylinder Technology in 2007 to protect the security of pin tumbler cylinders used in padlocks and door hardware.
