Effective July 12, 2010, Master Lock & American Lock converted production on ALL locks manufactured for stringent government standards, which reference CIDs A-A-59486 and A-A-59487 and ASTM F883 to include BumpStop Technology by default. These include any NSN with CID requirements as well as the “made to order” government padlocks – the best option when an NSN set doesn’t exactly match a requirement.

Compliant product is available through every distribution point: General Services Administration (GSA), Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (DSCP) and all commercial distributors who sell Master Lock and American Lock government padlocks.

In addition, most Master Lock and American Lock commercial padlocks and door hardware offer BumpStop Technology as a security upgrade. Choose BumpStop to maintain compliance in all padlocks and door hardware throughout your facility.
